Are you invested in crypto or stocks? Have you ever found that you can’t remember when you bought an asset, at what price, how much, and where? If you bought the same asset more than once, do you know what your average price is? Do you know where to take profit? Do you remember to check your investments regularly?
I faced exactly these problems. I felt I had completely lost control, with no clear plan for when to invest and no idea when to take profit.
Out of necessity, I started developing IMPRO2 as a personal tool – and soon found it invaluable.
Now, if I want to see how my investments are doing, I no longer have to endlessly check TradingView or sift through charts. I just open the app and know exactly where my portfolio stands. I can instantly see which assets have recently gained value (and when it’s time to sell), and which ones have dropped, providing an opportunity to lower my average purchase price by buying more.
I gradually expanded the app’s functionality to include automated alerts, so I don’t even have to open it constantly—the updates are delivered straight to my phone. I also explored investment strategies from various sources and integrated what I call the ‘Smart Modified Martingale Strategy.’ However, the app’s design is flexible enough to accommodate a wide variety of trading styles. (Please remember that IMPRO2 is merely a tool you can choose to utilize, not a source of financial advice).
I deliberately chose NOT to connect the app to any exchanges, brokers or wallets, as this would be a potential serious security risk (and also very complex in view of the constantly changing landscape!). No personal data is stored apart from a unique token from your login to Google or Apple (if you choose to use it).
Why the name? I started with several draft versions, and initially called it investment monitor (IM). Then, as the app evolved and I added more features, I decided to add ‘pro’ to it. After completely re-vamping the app from scratch, I had to find a new name, but because everything was already named ‘IMPRO’, I decided to call it version 2. I know it’s a bit naff, but that’s what its name is now!
